Date: 4/22/09

Opponent: Boston Red Sox

Home/Away: Away

Starting Pitcher: Baker

Final Score: L 10-1

Best Moment: The umps call the game in the 7th inning due to rain. Mercifully, this saves our bullpen from throwing any more pitches in a futile game (and making the score even more lopsided).

Most Questionable Moment: Alexi Casilla tries to warm up his bat with a heating pad. It does not work. Perhaps next time I might suggest a blowtorch? Or a trip to the sun?

Worst Moment: Scott Bakerbaker the Home Run Maker strikes again. He gives up a 2-run homer in the 1st. Then a 2-run homer in the 2nd. Then a 2-run homer in the 3rd. The saddest thing? Even though he went 4.2 innings with 6 earned runs, he actually lowered his ERA. W also got to see exactly why Morillo has a reputation for a lack of control. He had 1 hit and 3 walks, allowing 4 earned runs without recording an out. But, hey, at least his ERA is sub-50.00!

Suck-Ass Performance of the Game: Bakerbaker. I thought about Morillo, but at least the game was pretty much a lost cause when he came up. Baker really screwed us from the start.
